When it comes to decorating the most personal space in our homes, one needs to be both specific and careful. After all, our bedroom is where we spend most of our time chilling, relaxing and getting some much-required siesta. So it is about time we keep up with the worldwide trends and get to know about easy DIY tips and tricks that will transform the look of your bedroom. 1) Add Flowers To Your Bedroom Space

Never underestimate what flowers can do to the look of the entire bedroom. A bunch of freshly cut flowers or a colourful bunch can just lift up your moods. If you have colourful walls in your bedroom then you can opt for plain white flowers or roses too. This is an easy yet an effective way to mix-up the spring vibes with your romantic space.

2) Metallic Paint On Coloured Wallpaper

With Spring-Summer here, it is time to add some colour to the most loved space in your homes. Say bye-bye to those old wallpapers in your bedrooms and opt for something funky that has metallic colours on them. One swoosh of a particular metallic colour be it copper, silver or golden is required to add a grand quotient to your bedroom. Palatial bedroom is just an apt wallpaper away now.

3) Hanging Wall Plants

More often than we would accept, it is absolutely true that we Indians only relate plants to our living rooms. It is time to move away from the mundane and very regular interiors and try something totally daring and unconventional. Having hanging plants in your bedrooms will definitely make your room relaxing and calm. Green is a very special colour to be added in the bedrooms for relaxing vibes. Choose a wall that needs more attention and hang some customized plants on it and wake up to pure oxygen every morning.

4) Use Antiques As Bedside Tables

When you want to add a midcentury vibe to your bedrooms, all you need is some antiques that have been lying around in your storage rooms and you have forgotten that you even owned them at one point. For example antique sewing machines owned by your grand mums or some coffee tables can be converted into bedside tables for that rustic look. All you need to take care of is the paint that needs an added layer on it or re-polishing of the surface and you are good to go!

5) Paint Up the Ceiling Like the Walls

Many of our homes have walls that boast of a separate colour or colours and then the ceilings are all plain white. More than 90% of homes have the ceilings white regardless of the colours we use on our walls. Time to experiment a little and extend those wall colours right onto the ceilings. This will definitely make your ceilings look taller and will add depth to your bedroom. Especially with the colourful bedroom vibes, who needs a plain Jane white ceiling right?

6) DIY Bedstand

If you know anyone in the family who is good with the tools then you could assign an interesting task to them. All you need is some strong wood planks to create kind of a bedstand for the bed to rest on. This will act both as a storage unit and will ensure that you don’t have to open the bed every time you need to take out or store something in it. You can further create an illusion of a fireplace right beneath your bed by adding bright yellow and orange lights in the bedstand.

7) Bedroom Collage Trail

Your own DIY bedroom décor idea that can transform your bedrooms in a jiffy. Take an empty wall and hang a border of any old frame that you previously owned. Post that, you can simply stick strings from one end of the frame to the other. And Voila!! You have your very own self-made bedroom collage / pictures trail. Keep clips around to hold together everything you hold close to your heart right from pictures to things and even souvenirs!

Every once in a while it is important to pause and indulge in bedroom decorations that will be drenched in your creative ideas along with giving you a spectacular home space. Happy Decorating peeps!
